Hi Frederick

As for the issue you experienced with download center, as Blake stated, was a  temporary glich.

Your system is shipped with an OEM (ASUS) customized driver installed. With an OEM driver installed, Windows will block the installation of a generic driver such as the one that Intel provides on Download Center. Intel does not provide OEM customized drivers, only generic drivers. OEM's may not always provide drivers based on the latest Intel generic drivers.

You can however overwrite the OEM driver by following the steps in this article: Graphics Drivers — Computer manufacturer graphics driver detected

If you choose to overwrite the OEM customized driver on you system you need to be aware that you will loose all OEM customizations the OEM made to the driver which may impact certain features that the OEM enables or disables on your system. You can use the latest generic driver at your own risk. If the generic driver removes OEM features specific to your system that you require, you can un-install the generic driver and re-install the latest OEM driver specific to your system returning the system to the OEM condition.

Thanks

Robert
