What happens that results in the blackscreen failure?

So, I wanted to post this because I believe that this is a Windows driver issue, not anything else.

I have this shuttle pc hooked up to a Sony Bravia TV using an HDMI cable.

-BIOS, I can use HDMI alone.

-Installing windows, I can use HDMI alone.

-Running windows, I can use HDMI alone UNTIL I update the PC using Windows Update, where it updates a bunch of things at once and reboots.  As soon as it reboots the following happens:

Can see video using HDMI only through BIOS, and into Windows loading screen (black screen with windows logo and bar).  The HDMI goes out as soon as the screen turns blue and finishes loading windows (right after the black screen with the windows logo and loading bar).

I am assuming that this point is where the graphics driver is loaded, and the problem occurs.

-If I hook up a DVI to HDMI cable to the tv (DVI on the computer side - HDMI on the tv side) then I get video.

-I hooked up the DVI to HDMI cable to my desktop's monitor (DVI to the monitor - HDMI to the shuttle pc) then I DO NOT get video.

-I hooked up the HDMI cable to the tv, and the DVI to HDMI cable to my monitor (DVI to the shuttle pc - HDMI to the monitor) and I get video on the monitor, and NO video on the tv.

-If I disable the graphics driver and reboot the pc, I get video on BOTH the monitor, and the tv and can use Windows like normal.

-If I re-enable the graphics driver, the computer requires a reboot and the graphics issue continues.

Like I said before, I think this is a problem with Windows and the graphics driver.
